1. REMEMBER INSIDE OF YOUR WINDOWS
Everyone knows that you should clean the outside of the windows right? But have you ever given the inside a wipe down? It doesn’t need doing as frequently but 100% worth it as part of your spring cleaning ritual.
2. SORT YOUR SMELLY WASHING MACHINE
Put a quarter cup of baking soda mixed with a half cup of water where the detergent goes, then put 2 cups of vinegar in the drum and run a normal warm wash. This’ll kill any germs or mould leave your washing machine smelling fresher.
3. EMPTY YOUR FRIDGE
Everyone forgets to throw something out now and again, move the cheese and see a festering yoghurt in the back of the fridge. Most people just throw it out without cleaning after so it’s good to have a complete clean out once a year. Throw away anything expired and get in there with some soapy water.
4. CLEAN YOUR SCREENS
It’s one of those things that we all know we need to do but never seem to get around to. So it’s the perfect time to get some screen wipes and clean those screens! Laptops, phones, tablets, even give your TV a wipe down.
5. FRESHEN YOUR VACUUM
A lot of people with older vacuum cleaners may be used to a sort of weird smell coming out after you vacuum, but no more! Get a perfume pad and stick it over the filter or tear up a paper towel, dip it in your favourite scented oils and vacuum it up!
6. DUST ON TOP OF YOUR BOOKS
An easy one to miss and a real pain if you have lots of books of different heights. So the easiest thing to do is get a feather duster. Nice and easy to run over the top and picks up most of the dust.
7. CLEAN PATIO FURNITURE
It might seem a little early but if you get any garden furniture cleaned now future you will thank you when the sun comes out! You can just pull out your furniture and get your sunbathing on.
8. CLEAN YOUR BRUSHES
Nothing feels good about brushing your kitchen if you’ve got a brush covered in dust bunnies. So get some gloves on, get a basin of soapy water and get it cleaned! Pull all the dust bunnies out and get the bristles soaked. Just make sure you let it dry before you use it!
