I would say that in this list there is a clear winner and it is BOSCH WAJ28001GB, with its energy class B (which after many bigger washers review will  not look like much, however, it’s important to compare apples to apples here)

I like a little technology in my washing machine and the Bosch has got it, mainly the sensors that detect load size so you don’t waste water or power by using more than you need, plus the pause and reload function lets you throw in odd socks that you find just after you start the wash.

I would have liked an option to do a quick wash of the different temperatures but no dice. Luckily the power usage balances out with the sensors inside.

I’m also a fan of the new motor that’s inside that is brush free so there are fewer moving parts and less wear and tear. I was £70 last time I had to get my washing machine motor fixed so this is a big saving over time knowing that it can just keep washing week in and week out.

A cool washing machine with some great features, a little bigger at 7kg so it depends on your needs, this also makes it a little more expensive but it still won’t break the bank by any means.

 

2. Runner Up –  HOTPOINT NSWR 743UWKUKN 7kg 1400 Spin Washing Machine

My runner up this year (was the top choice in the last list) is the HOTPOINT NSWR 743UGKUKN 7kg Washing Machine. It combines some excellent features at a very affordable price. Let’s take a closer look.

The 7kg drum capacity makes this ideal for medium-sized families, unfortunately D rating is not the best for the environment.

There are a number of different wash programmes, including an anti-stain programme that will remove all the most common stains, such as grass, wine, mud and grease. There’s also a steam hygiene programme that’s great for thoroughly cleaning your clothes and removing allergens.

One of the best advantages is the quick wash setting, which is in most of the washers, however, Hotpoint’s quality of this quick wash is extremely good.

The Zanussi Z714W43BI Integrated 7Kg Washing Machine with 1400 rpm is my best integrated washing machine pick and would make a great choice if you’re looking for a machine that will blend in seamlessly with the look of your kitchen.

The 7kg drum size means it doesn’t take up too much space but still gives you enough capacity to wash plenty of clothes in one go. It has AutoAdjust technology, which means the correct amount of water and energy is used for the current wash load so you can have peace of mind knowing the machine automatically selects the correct setting.
